Hey Kimba….
our diy day is still going strong, not quite one month later…..here is our latest workload caught on camera!
All the girls tackled the fireplace, it went from ugly:
to…lovely:
Grace found a caterpillar…I LOVE the photos she took of him on the plank…but he is kind of hard to see:
More holes the honey fixed:
Honey-do’s…nasty glass extracted and tossed!
A few more of honeydo’s list conquered…outside tap installed, holes, trash:
The finished laundry room…grey and white:
The kitchen first coat:
The kitchen final coat:
Things you might only see in Oklahoma, an old fashioned stagecoach and hearse, being delivered via big rig:
update: here are some larger before and after pics!

SHEEEEEEESH!!! Is there going to be anything left to do when we show up on Saturday??
Looking SO forward to it…those colors are absolutely divine.

Oh, and…those “rocks” on the fireplace looked like big chunks of stew meat in the “before”…big improvement now that they’re white. LOL!!!

It looks like we have taken on similar projects. We are working on our home also. It looks like yours is coming along well. I love the painted rocks and the color of your kitchen.

I have the same rocks and I have a love/hate relationship with them. I have always wanted to paint them; but I’m afraid of the commitment. Good luck with the redo. Love the only in OK photo.

Jenni…sounds like Saturday will be floor laying time…installing tub, removing nasty vanity…
wanna go to the dump with me? I have to take a load…that doesn’t sound dainty does it?
who all is planning on coming…so I can kinda plan on drinks and food and stuff?

I’m speechless! Well, not really because clearly, I’m typing. I never would have thought to paint the stone. Brick? Yes. But not the stone. It looks fantastic!
I’ve been meaning to tell you how blown away I am by your story. I read through your old posts last week and you’ve touched my heart. I’m so thrilled that I get to see how God is so perfectly caring for you.

Thanks, Kimba…we painted the stone at the house we lived in a few years back and I was always pleased with how it turned out…I tried white-washing it first…but after a couple of years I cratered and painted it as well…it looked smashing…
so when we walked in here and saw the fireplace, I knew exactly what was in its future…
and thanks for the blown away part…I am blown away as well…HE IS SO GOOD!
